Cypress is in the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District The school district is the third largest district in the state of Texas. The Cy-Fair school district has a long history of serving academic basics. The district currently has 10 high schools; two of the high schools are fairly recent.
Cy-fair ISD has a long history. Going from what was once a rural district to make its mark as one of the most progessive and innovative school systems in the country.
Higher Education
Lone Star College District provides for the academic and continuing education needs of our area. Its innovative University Center classrooms provide students the opportunity, through telecommunication advances, to obtain degrees from participating institutions such as Texas A”&”M, Prairieview A”&”M, Sam Houston State University, Texas Southern University, and the University of Houston.
Lone Star Cy-fair College was completed in 2003. Located along Barker Cypress it is the fifth college to be completed in the Lone Star College System.
